The Peoples Cause is a 100% volunteer run organization. We are only as powerful as the consistent, collective, action of our members! We need volunteers of all types in order to impact our local communities around the country and drive success of our mission. Below is a description of the different volunteer roles we have available and how you can signup.

  • Are you a natural leader with a passion for coordinating teams, shaping strategy, and making impactful plans? We’re seeking dedicated Volunteer Organizers to lead efforts at both State and County levels across the nation!

    In this high-visibility role, you’ll be instrumental in developing strategic plans and overseeing volunteer operations within your region. You’ll help build a strong infrastructure to maximize impact, ensuring consistent and effective support for our initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement strategies for state or county-level volunteer efforts.

    • Plan and oversee events, such as canvassing, candidate support, protests, and bill advocacy.

    • Manage volunteer resources and budgets to support state-wide activities.

    • Collaborate with other organizers to maintain a cohesive and well-coordinated team.

    Multiple organizers can operate at both state and county levels—the more organizers involved, the stronger our efforts!

    Time Commitment:

    • Ongoing: Approximately 5–10 hours per week (time decreases with more organizers involved).

    • Peak Periods (e.g., major events or election cycles): Up to 15+ hours per week (particularly within 6 months of elections).

  • Are you detail-oriented with a passion for uncovering critical information? We’re seeking dedicated Volunteer Researchers to provide vital intelligence that drives strategy at the state level in your local community!

    In this essential role, you’ll gather and analyze information on legislation, election cycles, candidates, and key news developments from public sources. Your insights will guide the decisions of Organizers and help shape impactful initiatives in your state.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Research and compile data on bills, elections, candidates, and news.

    • Provide timely and accurate reports to support organizer planning and strategy.

    • Collaborate with Organizers and fellow Researchers to ensure comprehensive coverage.

    The more Researchers involved, the stronger and more informed our efforts will be!

    Time Commitment:

    • Ongoing: Approximately 1–5 hours per week (time decreases with more researchers involved).

    • Peak Periods (e.g., major events or election cycles): Up to 10+ hours per week.

    Join our team and play a crucial role in empowering your community with knowledge!

  • Are you ready to take action and make a difference in your local community? We’re looking for passionate Action Volunteers to support specific events and initiatives at the county and city levels!

    In this flexible role, you’ll contribute your time and energy to impactful actions such as organizing protests, phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, educational events, and more. Every action you take drives meaningful change!

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with event coordination and execution (e.g., protests, educational workshops).

    • Support outreach efforts, including phone banking and canvassing.

    • Engage with your community to promote awareness and participation.

    Time Commitment:

    • Flexible: One-time/as needed, based on individual events.

    • Time Required: Varies depending on the specific event or action.

  • Are you passionate about building vibrant online communities and driving digital impact? Join us as a Digital Engagement Volunteer! We’re looking for dedicated individuals to help maintain a strong online presence through various roles across social media and web platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Depending on your skills and interests, you can contribute in one or more of the following areas:

    • Social Media Content Moderation: Engage with and monitor online communities to ensure positive interactions and adherence to guidelines.

    • Social Media Content Creation: Develop engaging posts, graphics, and videos to amplify our message and drive awareness.

    • Digital Campaign Strategy: Plan and execute digital campaigns to support specific initiatives and events.

    • Website Management: Update website content and assist with site maintenance to keep information fresh and relevant.

    Commitment:

    • Ongoing: 2–10 hours per week, depending on your role.

    • Flexible Focus: Choose to assist with one specific platform or area, or contribute across multiple.

    • Minimum Commitment: At least 2 months to ensure consistent impact and effective resource management.
