Our Mission
We are a coalition of 600,000+ Americans united to strengthen the working class. Our mission is to drive change around three pillars of working class prosperity: Labor Rights, Universal Healthcare, and Affordable Housing. Together, we’re advocating for policies and representatives who support these values through local and state governments. This bottom-up approach has the power to influence federal policy making and leadership, guiding our political system to better represent the needs and wants of America’s working class.
Our Goals
Mobilizing Nationally
Our mission starts in our local communities. With 27+ chapters across the United States—and counting—we’re building a powerful grassroots coalition.
Each chapter is led by local organizers, working together to drive impactful collaboration and strategic action year-round.
Our chapters host and partner with community organizations to deliver events focused on education, action, protests, community building, voter outreach (GOTV), and more.

Why This Cause
The American middle class is the backbone of our economy, our communities, and the driver of future growth—and it’s shrinking. Since 1980, the cost of living has increased by approximately 246%, while wages have only risen by about 35%.
Hard-working Americans can’t afford homes, hesitate to raise children, face life-threatening barriers to healthcare, and are forced to work until death while drowning in unnecessary debt. This is unacceptable.
Today’s political parties and leaders, at both local and federal levels, are failing to represent American needs for middle-class prosperity, and we’re here to change that.
To us, middle class isn’t about arbitrary income brackets that ignore real regional cost differences and inflation fluctuations. Instead, we use an Affordability Model which asserts that middle class means having access to a secure, thriving life. This includes homeownership, a livable retirement by age 65, the ability to raise happy children, and comprehensive healthcare—all without the threat of life-altering debt–no matter where you live in the United States.
In some areas, this may be achievable today on a $60,000 household income; in others, it may require $250,000. We focus on equity, not just equality. All working Americans deserve realistic access to the American Dream.
This is our fight and we won’t stop until every American has a fair shot at a secure, dignified life.
